ACS Switch

Worried About your automated playlist?

The directors of StarLogixs, Mark & Deanne Trethewey have been involved with 2CBD Deepwater & Districts Community Radio for 10 years.

Over that period Mark has been involved with the techincal work setting up both the Glen Innes and Deepwater studios. Some years ago the Deepwater site started running computerised playlists to fill gaps between presenters.  Playlists would run  fully unattended and it was not long before it became apparent  that this could become problematic.

To solve this problem an automated switch was devised which monitored  the audio feed from the computer, and automatically switched over to CBAA satelitte if something caused the computer to stop. This unit has now been in service for several years, and has been very successful. StarLogixs has now decided to offer these units commercially to other radio stations that may have the same problem. The ACS -automated changeover switch has been designed with community radio stations in mind. The units are easily installed and low cost.
